ABCe (www.abc.org.uk) was established in 1996 as the industry owned, non profit distributing organisation, which works on behalf of advertisers, media buyers and media owners to provide third party independent verification and certification for data related to e-media in the UK and Ireland.
ABCe's role is to manage standards for the industry through its work with JICWEBS (The Joint Industry Committee for Web Standards in the UK and Ireland), and to provide credibility, comparability and transparency for e-media. This gives advertisers the opportunity to maximise returns on marketing budgets by using ABCe certified media and ensures that stakeholders can invest in e-media with confidence and trust.
During October 2010 ABCe tracked and analysed traffic to CV-Library, concluding 1,813,388 unique users and 122,781 CV registrations - the results demonstrate that CV-Library is successfully converting users into CV registrations.
CV-Library currently holds over 3,125,620 CVs, witnessing an increase of a million CVs within the past 12 months. Working closely with the ABCe has led to the development of a unique metric, which ensures only new CVs are counted and does not include updates or modifications.
CV-Library is committed to transparency in a market often blighted by misleading figures and inflated statistics. By openly welcoming an independent audit, CV-Library set a benchmark of an all time high of 122,781 unique CV registrations audited in a single month, with the UK's biggest online job site advertising 111,135 CV registrations for the same month of October. The open, honest approach combined with cutting edge technical ability and excellent customer service skills go some way towards explaining our exceptional growth over the last year.
