• Up to £32.50 p/h • 40 hours per week • 4 to 6 month contract • £5 to £50 million projects We are currently working in behalf of a well established and well respected, global multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy located in the city of London to find them a client facing Senior Engineer Design Engineer for an immediate start. The initial contract is likely to be for a minimum of four months however this could be extended to at least 6 months. Working directly for the Electrical Director or Electrical Associate you will be expected to design, manage and deliver your own projects, attend and contribute to client meetings and also provide some guidance to the less experienced Electrical Engineers. Based in their ultra modern and spacious brand new London office, you can expect to work on a variety of medium sized projects (£5 to £50 million construction value) within the education, commercial, luxury residential, mixed use, leisure and investment banking sectors. The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be qualified to Degree level, have a minimum of six years experience as a consulting engineer and be able to carry out electrical and lighting calculations either by hand or using Amtech or Dialux. We are working with an award winning international multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy located in Surrey to find them an enthusiastic Junior or Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer with a keen interest in Sustainable Building Services Design. Working under the guidance of a Chartered, Senior Mechanical Engineer you will develop your skills in HVAC design, IES / Thermal Modeling, energy / CO2 reduction strategies, BREEAM, CAD / Revit and also develop your understanding of Public Health systems, Fire Engineering and Building Acoustics. The Junior / Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer will be Degree qualified in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering or Energy, possess at least one years’ experience in building services and must be able to carry out basic design duties such as Heat gain / Heat losses, duct, pipe and plant sizing, overheating analysis and also assist in producing energy reports and renewable energy statements. We are looking for a commercially-focused Public Health Engineer with broad range of sector experience for an immediate start with a high profile international firm of consulting engineers based in central London. Reporting to a Senior or Principal Public Health Engineer you will be responsible for the design of all Public Health services, including domestic water systems, above and below ground drainage, rainwater collection, rain water and grey water harvesting and heating systems. You will enjoy a varied role consisting of carrying out site surveys, co-ordinating the building services design with the other project teams, ensuring deadlines and milestones are maintained and that all design produced by Junior / Intermediate Engineers complies with current legislation, British Standards and Codes of Practices and also represent the company in meetings with clients. The ideal Public Health Engineer will have at least four years experience in a similar role, a good appreciation sustainability and low energy options and must be able to assist in allocating and distributing excess work to other engineers or other UK or international offices. Please note this is a permanent role and hence the client is looking for an individual that has progressed well and has a stable employment history. Whilst not essential; individuals with extensive high rise commercial, education, healthcare, data centre and super prime residential experience will have a slight advantage. We are currently working on behalf of one of the UK’s most successful, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancies to find them a reliable Senior Mechanical Design for an immediate / straight start. The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be required to produce both conceptual, scheme and detailed design using computer design software packages such as Hevacomp, IES and AutoCAD, attend and contribute to client meetings and assist with specifications, on site supervision and cost control. With a record order book consisting of scientific, education, luxury residential, commercial and listed projects, a minimum of three months work and the possibility of a permanent role being offered, this role will appeal to a Senior Engineer that is looking for autonomy, a broad range of projects and the added benefit of flexible working times. It is essential that you are used to working in a multi-disciplinary manner and can design heating, ventilation, air conditioning, piped water services and have a good understanding of low and zero carbon technologies.
