Our client is looking for a qualified Health and Social Care Assessor to join their team in a field based role covering Essex. You will be required to travel particularly throughout the Chelmsford and Bishop Stortford areas. It is essential that you are a qualified Assessor and hold the TAQA, CAVA, A1, D32 or D33 Assessing Award. It is preferred that candidates hold a level 3 Adult Care qualification or above. This role will involve assessing Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care and will also include delivering Functional Skills at level 2 and Technical Certificates. You must have previous experience of working in a Health and Social Care role. Applicants that have experience of elderly, adult care or adult nursing would be best suited to this position. If you hold a PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, Cert Ed or PGCE certificate then this could be beneficial although not essential. This is a work based learning role so you will be travelling across the Chelmsford and Bishop Stortford areas of Essex to meet with learners in their own place of work. An average caseload is 40 - 45 learners. You will be required to keep learners motivated and on track throughout the duration of their Apprenticeship. This will involve setting them tasks to complete when you are not there, carrying out observations on the work they are completing and gathering witness testimonials and statements from other colleagues and staff. Initial Assessments and basic skills tests will be carried out when signing learners on to the Apprenticeship programme. A good level of literacy and numeracy skills will be required in order to assist learners in preparing for Functional Skills tests. As you will be going to different places of employment, you will be required to build good relationships with the Managers and staff of the places that you are visiting. You will mainly work with learners on a 1 to 1 basis so good communication skills and the ability to empathise with people is essential. Our client is looking for a Welding and Engineering Instructor to join their company. The Head office is based in Huntingdon and you will be required to work here as well as travel when needed throughout Cambridgeshire and East/West Anglia. To be considered for this role you must have a Welder / Fabricator and Mechanical Engineering background and relevant teaching / assessing qualifications. Experience of working as a Welding Instructor, Tutor, Trainer, Lecturer or Teacher within Welding / Fabrication and Mechanical disciplines is essential in this role. Knowledge and experience of using engineering machinery in addition to Welding and Fabricating would highly desirable although not essential. This could include knowledge of CNC machines, Lathes, Milling / Turning Machines. You will be required to teach in a classroom environment as well as on site in the workplace. Role purpose Presenting, updating and developing courses to be delivered either at the company centre, in company premises or externally sourced venues Role Accountabilities - Practical and theoretical instruction to both young and adult trainees. - Provide consultancy, advice and guidance to employers - Train and assess delegates to achieve course objectives, both theory and practical - Take all reasonable steps to ensure course material, equipment and training aids are maintained, safe and most suitable to achieve the objectives of the course programme - Complete and maintain all trainees course reports, assessment forms, log books and other relevant documentation as required by awarding organisations. Business Impact - Reporting to the Engineering and Electrical Skills Manager responsible for the continued development of the company offer across the Engineering Sector to include direct delivery of skills training - Personal contribution of 250,000 of delivery income - Lead of development of Traineeships, Classroom based learning, Engineering Apprenticeship and PEO delivery Knowledge, Skills and Experience Industrial Welding and Fabrication Industry background at Site Supervisor level, level 3 qualification and teacher qualification.
