Our client is looking for a qualified or unqualified CNC Machinist Assessor to join their team based in Corby, Northamptonshire. You will be able to complete paperwork / other tasks from the Corby office but you will be required to travel to meet with learners in their workplace or at other workshops / classroom environments throughout Northamptonshire. This will mainly be within an approximate 50 mile radius from the Corby office. It is preferred that candidates hold a TAQA, CAVA, A1 or D32 / D33 Assessing qualification, although this is not essential as for the right candidate the company are willing to provide the necessary support and training in order for you to start a career as an Assessor. The essential criteria is that you have a strong background and experience of engineering processes, milling, turning, CNC, machining etc in order to deliver the required Apprenticeship framework. Ideally you will also hold a relevant Level 3 qualification. The role will be split between training and assessment of candidates. You will have a caseload of 35 - 40 learners. Functional Skills delivery is preferred. This will be Functional Skills Maths and English. You will provide support to the learners with this as it is part of the Apprenticeship framework so you should have a good level of Maths and English. For qualified Assessors this position ideally requires experience of classroom and workshop delivery of sector skilled based qualifications with an emphasis on team working in a target-orientated environment. The company use paper based portfolios. Any offer of employment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check being successful. Our client is looking for a qualified Health and Social Care Assessor to join their team in a field based role covering Essex. You will be required to travel particularly throughout the Romford, Southend, Grays and Brentford areas. It is essential that you are a qualified Assessor and hold the TAQA, CAVA, A1, D32 or D33 Assessing Award. It is preferred that candidates hold a level 3 Adult Care qualification or above. This role will involve assessing Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care and will also include delivering Functional Skills at level 2 and Technical Certificates. You must have previous experience of working in a Health and Social Care role. Applicants that have experience of elderly, adult care or adult nursing would be best suited to this position. If you hold a PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, Cert Ed or PGCE certificate then this could be beneficial although not essential. This is a work based learning role so you will be travelling across Southend, Rochford, Wickford, Standford and the Grays areas to meet with learners in their own place of work. An average caseload is 40 - 45 learners. You will be required to keep learners motivated and on track throughout the duration of their Apprenticeship. This will involve setting them tasks to complete when you are not there, carrying out observations on the work they are completing and gathering witness testimonials and statements from other colleagues and staff. Initial Assessments and basic skills tests will be carried out when signing learners on to the Apprenticeship programme. A good level of literacy and numeracy skills will be required in order to assist learners in preparing for Functional Skills tests. As you will be going to different places of employment, you will be required to build good relationships with the Managers and staff of the places that you are visiting. You will mainly work with learners on a 1 to 1 basis so good communication skills and the ability to empathise with people is essential. Our client is currently recruiting for a Health and Social Care Assessor to join their team in a field based role covering the North West area (Liverpool and Manchester). You will need to be a qualified Assessor and hold a CAVA. TAQA, A1 or D32 / D33 Assessing Award. It is essential that you hold an NVQ Level 3 or above in Health and Social Care. You will need to have experience of Assessing Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care. It is preferred that candidates can also Assess Customer Service, Team Leading and Management in addition to Health and Social Care although this is not essential. You will also be delivering Functional Skills in this position. The average size caseload is 60 learners and you will be using the EDI E-portfolio system. Learners are contacted every month but every other month by visit to allow for sound management of this size caseload. Many of the learners are within 60 miles of the Liverpool and Manchester area. Some may be further so you will need to be prepared to trouble shoot problem venues/learners with a positive mental outlook as and when required. You must be an excellent communicator and customer focussed to ensure that the company is represented to a high standard. This may involve contact on the telephone and face to face. Traineeships are a fairly new initiative so many employers may not be aware of them. The hope is that the Traineeship will progress onto a full Apprenticeship for the learner that is signed up. To be considered for this role you will need to be a confident communicator and be able to engage well with young people. Many will be NEET's and so any experience of working with this group of people would be preferred. This could be from Foundation Learning, E2E or other youth initiative. Employer Engagement skills (Business development / liaison with employers) would be preferred as this will also be a requirement of the role.
