This could be for DNOs as part of asset replacement programmes, for DNOs as contestable and non-contestable connection work or for large private network contestable connections, network extensions or asset replacement. The scope of works will include full civil, structural and electrical detailed design (primary layout and secondary/protection); civil construction including transformer bases, switchgear bases, ancillary buildings and enclosures; plant and equipment installation, connection and commissioning including 132 and 33kV transformers, indoor and outdoor switchgear; protection systems and SCADA interfaces. These schemes will be delivered by the effective management of direct and subcontract resource from within the Freedom businesses. Projects are normally delivered on NEC3 C contracts.
