Working within a small team to deliver a high quality claims service to High Networth clients and brokers whilst maintaining and enhancing our clients reputation for its claim handling service.
The role will include direct communication by telephone with the Insured and Intermediary, managing the relationship with High Networth policyholders, assessing the size of the claim, its potential severity and dealing with same in a proactive manner with the emphasis being to provide a fast track claims handling service.
Principle duties and responsibilities:
To handle claims in a proactive manner within set service levels.
Deal with telephone calls from policyholders, brokers, loss adjusters and other experts.
To negotiate and settle claims fairly and promptly.
Ability to work unsupervised and show initiative in their claims handling approach from an early stage in their career.
Building a relationship and gaining broker confidence when handling claims.
100% customer focused and being comfortable with the claims handling philosophy.
Qualifications, Skills, Experience and personal requirements:
Preferably educated to 2:1 degree standard.
Must have good A levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above (must also have 5 GCSE’s including English and Mathematics at grade C or above.
Applicants would be expected to possess the following attributes; drive, determination, confidence, initiative, dedication as well as having good listening, communication and analytical skills.
It would be preferable if applicants had a minimum of twelve months experience handling personal lines claims for an insurance company, preferably High Networth claims.
ACII progression or a willingness to begin professional studies would be advantageous.
Applicants must be able to work unsupervised and handle claims in a proactive yet highly customer focused manner.
Applicants must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills both face to face and by telephone. They must be articulate and well spoken.
Must be able to work in a small team and be a good team player.
Must have good organizational skills and the ability to work in a methodical manner and meet deadlines.
Good working knowledge of Windows packages would be advantageous.
