Amoria Bond currently seek several Web Design / Developers to join an exciting, rapidly expanding end-user organisation in Amsterdam on a permanent basis. Our client offers an extremely dynamic and challenging international work environment, a flat team structure and a flexible approach to the implementation of new ideas.

As a Web Designer(HTML/CSS/Javascript) Front-end Developer, you will be designing and implementing the website user interfaces. You have a good sense for colours, images, layouts. You are a developer in the sense that your output will be fully functional cross-browser HTML/CSS/Javascript code instead of mock-up images. You make sure that front-end technology works in all browsers, and delivers for the customers. Key responsibilities include; designing and developing the user interfaces of the website with HTML/CSS and JavaScript, day to day maintenance of production websites, work together with colleagues of Design, IT and Marketing to improve usability and conduct experiments and usability tests. Our client makes design decisions based on experiments and testing. They receive thousands of visits to their website on a daily basis and therefore know instantly which experiments work and which don’t.

Candidates should have a strong sense of user experience, user interfaces, usability and accessibility, familiarity with browser quirks and workarounds, working knowledge of W3C standards for web development, able to work well independently and within a team, you are an unrestricted communicator with pragmatic attitude, confident working with cvs or similar version control systems and have the ability to code hand-crafted html. Ideally, you will have mastery of cross-browser front-end technologies: HTML and CSS, ideally solid experience with Javascript, experience with tableless design, experience with templating systems, experience with validating, testing and with graphical software (e.g. Photoshop). Experience with iPhone Apps or Google Maps would also be advantageous. Experience of working in an e-commerce environment is also advantageous.
