Description		My Scotland based client urgently require a MMIC Designer to Design and development of Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMICs) to be used in various assemblies and modules. Modules comprise solid state Transmit and Receive circuits which are most commonly based on a GaAs pHEMT process and are required to operate in frequency ranges 3GHz to 20GHz. Responsible for all engineering aspects of requirements specification, design, development, testing, integration and validation of MMIC designs. Degree (or PHD) in Electronic Engineering/Physics or similar with specialisation in MMIC development. Essential: Knowledge of GaAs MMIC processes, devices and circuits RF circuit design capability to include, amongst others, the following general circuit types : Linear amplifiers & non linear high power pulsed amplifiers Switch circuits Phase and level shifters CAD simulation and MMIC layout using MWO or ADS Able to use standard microwave test instruments Use of standard Microsoft Office Tools Desirable: Experience in the design of: MMICs for TR modules used in phased arrays High power amplifier MMICs Low noise amplifier MMICs CAD simulation and MMIC layout using both MWO and ADS Experienced in the use of microwave wafer prober If this position is of interest to you please contact me to discuss the role in greater detail.
