The business is investing heavily in its core business systems, vehicle fleet, depot infrastructure and in its people to effectively position itself to maximise its growth potential. In order to maximise our performance in the Warehouse operations we now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, dynamic and effective Operations Manager to join the existing team in driving change and efficiency throughout the Nightshift operations. Key activities will be to develop the front line management team to high performance, streamline and develop operational processes and manage the implementation of a new Warehouse Management system as part of a wider business ERP implementation. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years operational management experience in a fast moving industrial environment. Experience of operational warehousing in a logistics related business would be a distinct advantage. Previous Food handling experience is required. Desirable personal qualities include a tenacious, results driven and pragmatic approach, excellent inspirational communication skills, well honed problem solving and analytical skills and the ability to influence at all levels. Due to hours of the position, applicants MUST have current or very recent experience of working a permanent night based position.
