Description		Principal Mechanical Engineer - Burton on Trent Salary �32,000 p/a + profit bonus + package Our client specialise in the design and build of bespoke mining equipment. They currently have a client base in over 60 countries and with order books overflowing they require a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join their organisation. Role Description The successful candidate will be undertaking a senior engineering role ensuring customer specifications are designed and built to the highest standard. This will require you to communicate and advise on a number of departments within the company including procurement, manufacturing and design. You will be required to plan, manage and prioritise the mechanical engineering workload across multiple projects to ensure deadlines are met. A large part of the role will involve product development which will include researching into new technologies and engineering processes to ensure the company keep up to date. You will also be required to deal directly with customers to give regular developments on product development. Required Experience / Qualifications Candidates must have prior experience of working as an interface between the design and manufacturing departments to act as technical support. Candidates will also have a good understanding of motion control in heavy load bearing equipment like traction units and heavy electrical plant. A strong knowledge of transmission systems, wheel sets, breaking systems and some structural knowledge is essential. Candidates will be educated to Degree or HND in mechanical engineering with relevant engineering experience.
