CONSTRUCTION MANAGER – OFFSHORE INDUSTRY
WRS are very pleased to be working in conjunction with one of the leading contractors in the Offshore Industry.
We are currently looking for a Construction Manager to join their Operations Division, based in France.
If successful you will be reporting in to the Departmental Construction Manager and your key responsibilities will have you responsible for all constructional aspects of fabrications/services made by the Company in your regional area, including administration of local hires, labour and staff.
You will provide, on a regular basis, pertinent regional information relating to the companies business which could be of interest to Senior Management.
You will also manage, co-ordinate and supervise the activities of all the Construction Department staff located in your regional area.
In terms of Day to Day Activities your main tasks will be:
To organise, schedule and supervise all the Construction Managers, and subordinate staff’s
activities for the project work in your regional area.
Be involved in the preparation and scope of work for yard subcontracts.
Organise all the administrative aspects such as housing, cars, communications etc, for the
activities of the expatriate staff working on sites in your region.
To liaise with the Administration Dept to provide input to the monthly Administration report.
To ensure that all construction aspects of the projects on site are supervised in a safe and efficient manner.
To be responsible for the Quality and Safety performance of all Construction personnel working in your region.
To establish and/or review the construction procedures and planning input for future projects (proposals).
To manage all the construction work ensuring that it is carried out in accordance with the relevant drawings and specifications and/or codes.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- A university degree or technical college diploma in Engineering or Materials Science
- A minimum of 15 years experience in Engineering and/or Construction and/or Project Management in the offshore industry, with particular emphasis on FPSO\FSO Floating Production vessels.
- Fluent in spoken and written English

There are extremely competitive Salaries and Benefits packages on offer – this is a STAFF position, candidates unfortunately can not be considered on a contract basis.
