Project Manager to £47k + Pension
South East-Essex

Project Manager with Oil & Gas/Petrochemical experience now required to lead, manage and have contractual, commercial & technical responsibility for the allocated projects for a global company within the process control & automation sector, who specialise in integrated SCADA/DCS solutions and support both onshore and offshore operations.
The primary duties of the Project Manager will entail:
· Taking total responsibility for the successful delivery of the project from the handover from sales to the delivery to the end customer, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget and resource constraints.
· To be the single point of contact with the client
· Verification of the compatibility of the purchase order and contract documents with the quotation, identification of any deviations of the order from the quotation and taking the appropriate remedial action
· The evaluation of all contractual, commercial and technical aspects associated with any such client change or delay and advising the client accordingly
· Prepare quality and functional safety management plans for the nominated projects
· Act as a focal point for the project team assembled to execute the project and ensure the effective contribution of all members of the project team
In order to be considered for this role you will have a sound understanding of project management practices with respect to planning and monitoring progress of on-going works together with the ability to command respect and trust, both internally and externally, when leading a multi-disciplined team of Engineers. You will also:
· Have a commercial awareness in the execution of control systems and a solid understanding and interpretation of engineering contracts
· Proven ability to negotiate with clients and sub-contractors on commercial, contractual and technical issues
· Be competent in the use of standard software packages i.e. Word, Excel and MS Project
· Possess a formal qualification within Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Ideally Degree/HNC/D Level)
