The successful applicant will be working with SharePoint Portal Server and Windows SharePoint Services and you will have a number of successful implementations of SharePoint under your belt as well as a strong pedigree in .Net development (ASP.Net, ASP), XML, and SQL Server.
My client a Microsoft Gold Partner is seeking a Microsoft SharePoint Consultant for a permanent position based in either Colchester, Essex or Central London.
The position also requires the successful candidate to demonstrate excellent documentation and people skills together with a strong business acumen and a flair for analytical procedures.

As a Microsoft Gold Partner, we are seeking individuals with a broad range of skills and expertise.
A strong understanding of MS technologies coupled with broader vendor experience is extremely desirable. In addition this is a technical hands on deployment role and so the candidate needs to possess a deep technical knowledge.
All candidates should possess a strong understanding of the majority of the following

Overview
We are seeking to recruit a Strategic Microsoft SharePoint Consultant who is highly experienced and fully equipped to influence and shape the IT strategies of our customers. These consultants must be able to engage with our customers at the most senior levels (up to and including board level engagements). They will couple strong technological awareness with deep business understanding and clear thinking to understand our customer’s challenges, articulate the potential solutions and influence their strategic direction. We expect our Strategic Consultants to establish long term relationships with our customers and to develop that relationship to become “trusted advisers”.
This role is a fully fledged customer facing role, focussed on customer satisfaction, service delivery and profitability. It is unlikely that individuals without extensive consulting experience (8 years+) in a number of sectors and technologies will meet our demanding requirements.
This individual will be one of our most senior consultants, they will be highly professional, well presented, authoritative, credible and articulate. They will be required to provide technical assurance and leadership to our project teams while working within structured project management methodologies such as Prince II. However, they must also engage with the customer to understand the wider business, commercial and political background that affects our project work.
While providing engagement support to our sales force our Strategic Consultants will be called upon to develop and deliver compelling presentations and other pre-sales materials. As a leading Partner in the Microsoft community we are also often asked to provide speakers for Microsoft events, so our consultants’ excellent presentation skills should ideally extend to speaking to large audiences. These individuals will also be involved generating formal tender response documentation.
In order to fulfil the requirements detailed above our Strategic Consultants must develop and maintain a deep understanding of the technical advances and emerging technologies within their specific field of expertise and the broader IT Industry. However this must be augmented with an ability to identify and articulate the
strategic implications of these advances both within our organisation and to our customers. To maintain such awareness our Consultants should develop and maintain a network of contacts within
the vendor community.
This is a senior, high profile role within a leading Microsoft Gold Partner. We have a strong reputation within the industry and it a function of these roles to continue to enhance that reputation.
