Senior Software Engineer C, Objective C, OO, UML Defence, Space, Missile Systems.
Company design and develop On-Board Communication Systems,
Air Defence, Space , Weapon, Missile Systems , Target Orientated Tracking Systems and Sensors.
Specific Role Requirements - The Senior Software Engineer will have experience in Systems Software Design,, Requirements Management, Understanding of full Development Lifecycle, Experience of UML. Strong C/C++ background.
Objective C would be very useful.
Due to expansion our Client requires a Senior Software Engineer Responsibilities include -
Managing and motivating a team of Software Engineers to deliver product within the target budget and timescale.
Managing risks through the identification, quantification and mitigation stages.
Managing the technical and quality requirements for an allocated product or component
Supporting brainstorming and review activities to de-risk the design evolution
Qualifications
1. General Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Maths, Physics or equivalent. Pref 1st Class or 2:1, good ALevel grades., Higher quals an advantage.
Experience
1. Good experience required in a relevant engineering area using appropriate technology (refer to Essential and Desirable requirements).
Essential Requirements:

System Design and Development
Requirements Management
Understanding of Full Development Lifecycle
2. Experience in one or more of the following:
Object Oriented Analysis and Design (preferably UML)
Real Time Design
UNIX/Linux and/or Windows
C, C++, Java, HTML, PHP
Objective C
Database Design Application
Desirable Requirements:
1. Experience in the following:
Project Management
Object Oriented Analysis and Design
Planning and estimating
2. Familiarity with the following:
Testing techniques and strategies
Configuration Management
3. Experience in the following:
Hardware Design and COTS selection
