This client are one of the worlds top lift, elevator and escalator manufactures. Their products have a reputation for quality and reliance backed a total commitment to Service; they are responsible for designing, building and installing equipment in some of the Country's most prestigious buildings. In addition to actual products they also offer first class Service and Maintenance Contracts which enables them to effectively look after other manufacturers' equipment. In the UK they operate very successfully from a network of project, service and repair centers designed to give rapid and effective response to their customers' needs.
Role.
Working for the Projects Division, the client has a role for a Modernisations / Refurbishment Sales Manager working as part of a dedicated team out of their North East office. The client would like to invite applications from people living in or around;
Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesborough, Hartlepool, County Durham, Northumberland, A1 Corridor, North Yorkshire.
The roles require you to sell the service and maintennance of work varied capital projects ensuring the delivery of Modernisation elevator units across locations across the North East. The role requires the Sales manager to manage and control of all the elements of the project working closely with the Project Manager whose duties include; equipment and materials availability, delivery of flexible and rigid timescales, installation, commissioning, quality assurance, health and safety, client handover and sign off. Clear influencing and liaison is essential with many different people and partner organisations throughout the contract such as; main contractors, sub contractors, consultant designers, material suppliers, client project managers, engineers, in addition to your own company direct reports.
Person.
Previous experience in multiple Sales project management covering the Engineering and Construction sectors is essential. You will need very strong communication and influencing skills, outstanding organisational abilities and a very good sense of humour. Experience of working in a constant changing environment where the resilience to deliver demanding timescales are the norm. Some form of technical qualification in the form of Mechanical Engineering would be desirable.
