Job Title: Principal Systems Engineer
Location: East Sussex
Rate: 40 to 50k plus bonus, excellent bens & reloc.
Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to sole British Citizens. Applicants who meet this criteria will also be required to undergo security clearance vetting, if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.

Job Description:
This is a Technical Management and Leadership role in the C4ISTAR sectorfor a Principal Systems Engineer. The Principal Systems Engineer will develop new equipment and systems in this domain. Primarily the Principal Systems Engineer will provide Technical expertise on bid activity and programme execution especially Tactical Datalinks, and will guide teams of engineers. You will have abundant experience in :
Technical Planning
Defence Sector experience
Tactical Datalinks, Link 11, Link 16, Link 22, and VMF
Full Systems Engineering Lifecycle
MODAF, DOORS, SysML Modelling
Familiarity with Safety, Security, Reliability and Maintainability processes.
User Requirement specification
Systems Requirements specification
System Architecture design and definition
Subsystem specification
Procurement specification and negotiation with contractors
Systems Test planning
Systems Acceptance
Systems Engineering support
Engineering reviews
Willing to travel
Any additional experience in Operations or Trials with military wireless data and voice communication systems, modelling wireless and wired communications networks, Sub contract management, resource management of systems engineering teams, performance appraisals and identification of training needs analysis.
