Business Analyst, Operations, Investment Bank - London

The Role: Serves as a business analyst for all areas of investment management / operations. Analyses complex business requirements and provides solutions for operating models and implementation options. Responsible for the acquisition, analysis and dissemination of subject matter knowledge and creating business procedures in line with operating model.

• Provides Business Analysis support for the Operations workstream / EC Operations Management
o Responsible for validating and documenting Operations target state processes and controls
o Documents and communicates issues and risks impeding progress
• Address requests received from Technology where Operations requirements require further research / elaboration
• Plans and prepares for the testing cycle
• Provides updates to the project artifacts
o Expansion project plan (Operations deliverables)
o Project issues log
o Contributes to Operations project status reporting
o Archives project documentation to SharePoint
• Attends project meetings (regular & adhoc meetings)
o When required - schedules meetings with required attendees / arranges meeting rooms
 Prepares meeting agendas
 Takes meeting notes
 Creates meeting minutes for review and approval
 Distributes to PMO / Operations Management

Ideal Background: Bachelors Degree in finance, business, technology or equivalent ideal.

Broad and in-depth understanding of the Financial Services industry and in particular Investment Accounting.
Experience of writing business process flows and data mapping.
Good analytical and consultative interviewing skills.
Strong writing, communication and presentation skills. VISIO skills preferred.
