Senior Engineer - Power Electronics

REQUIREMENTS:
You will be writing specifications for new power electronic components, sending them out to suppliers, managing problem solving, ensuring that the products are fit for purpose.

The role is more coordination, rather than design, very supplier focused and with a good technical background and understanding of in depth power electronics, this would suit someone who has previously been in a design role and is looking for a new challenge.

There will be a requirement to travel to India, but no more than 10% of the time.

DESCRIPTION: Our client is one of the world`s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers. Established for more than 60 years its product line-up has, more recently, moved into the design and manufacture of passenger cars, including electric vehicles.

This role is based in the West Midlands, close to the M40 and is commutable from Birmingham, Rugby, Coventry, Warwick and Nuneaton, and has occasional travel.

VAC REQ :You will ideally have:
*Heavy power experience, HV suitable for application on Electric Vehicles
*Knowledge of EV chargers, EV Motor control units, PDUs (Power Distribution Units)

Relevantly qualified and with at least three years experience with in an industry such as rail, aerospace, automotive or power.
