This charity has recently developed a refreshed fundraising strategy leading to its 50th anniversary in 2016. As part of the organisations investment in fundraising growth, over 2m additional annual investment has been allocated to fundraising by the Board of trustees, who, alongside the CEO and the senior management team, are actively involved in helping to shape and develop fundraising activity.

Commercial organisations recognise the urgency to invest in communities and to pick up some of the government cut backs in statutory funding. In particular, companies recognise the economic need to protect housing, improve social inclusion and equal opportunity. This forms a core pillar of many CSR agendas and business models. Over the past year, this charity has been incredibly successful in gaining new business and engaging companies such as; KPMG, British Gas, Fujitsu, Standard Life in multi year substantial partnerships. In the light of this, recent investment has been allocated to expand the corporate partnerships team in order to take advantage of this interest.

Fundraising is an agile, dynamic, fun and ambitious division and works well across teams and across the organisation at all levels; with the senior management team and Board of trustees. It is an exciting organisation to be part of and the new post holders are expected to share this ambition and aspiration, and to be able to work well across teams and at a variety of levels.

Successful post holders will be able to assess synergies and commercial advantage in aligning with this cause on both a cash and pro bono basis and will be able to work cross divisionally with their research, policy and service teams to ensure the value of each company is optimised.
