Mechanical Engineer

A thriving Bristol based company, designers and manufacturers of a range of innovative systems for use in extreme environments is seeking a well qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer with expert FEA knowledge together with excellent CAD skills.

The ideal Mechanical Engineer will be qualified to a minimum of a 2.1 Bachelors Degree level in Mechanical Engineering or similar Engineering discipline and will benefit from holding a relevant post graduate qualification.

A background involving sensors or underwater systems design would be a distinct advantage as would knowledge of small component design and an understanding of structural mechanics. Familiarity with aerodynamics or hydrodynamics are highly beneficial.

Previous experience of design for high volume manufacture and maintainability and at low cost would be an asset.

As well as solid FEA skills the successful Mechanical Engineer will ideally have experience of Autodesk Inventor, CAD packages such as SolidWorks and Pro-Engineer WildFire together with excellent 3D modelling skills.
