Supply Chain Performance Manager
You will lead efforts with Supply Chain process Engineers and facility Supply Chain personnel to improve Supply Chain process efficiency and lead work with various functional areas to deliver tools, processes and expertise to implement new SAP systems which will support lean Manufacturing processes in relation with replenishment material processes including pull trigger systems based plan for every part.
This role is accountable to manage transition from current legacy system to SAP systems in various UK and European Facilities in respect of Company vision of Lean Manufacturing for Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering and shop floor process support.
The Role:
Leveraging Common Goals Agreements, this position works with Supply Chain Process Engineers, Supply Chain Supplier Development Engineers to support migration of process and data from current systems to SAP base systems including core modules like ECC APO QM MM IM/WM and other systems for BOMs and routings development and tools for supplier collaboration. This position will participate to the current process analysis, GAPs analysis with “to be” processes and will be part of the solution as well as support, training and coaching of site power users in the transition. After “go live” this position will continue to assist site Supply Chain folks to resolve issues and achieve targets.
Lead efforts to verify and improve site Supply Chain and Engineering groups to improve capacity, quality and delivery performance of the global chain from supplier to the “point of use”. This position leads action plans with site facility functions to address and resolve process issues using root cause and corrective action (RCCA). This position integrates efforts with facility supply chain planning, site global purchasing, operations, receiving, Global Transportation, Demand and Orders, Material Requirements Planning and Logistics.
Lead efforts at site Facility to perform Process Value Stream Mapping, material flow improvements and preparation to respond to pull triggers. This position provides leadership (sponsorship and governance) for 6 Sigma Rapid Improvement Workshops with suppliers and Company personnel as required.
Lead or coach projects to implement improved supplier collaboration with Company and third party service providers using common collaboration technologies.
Work closely with facility supply chain planning leaders to deploy the Supply Chain Planning Process, providing leadership (and strategic direction) to teams implementing pull material replenishment at suppliers and in the development of suppliers’ plan for every part.
Support supplier efforts to improve performance to the Supplier Quality Monitor, and designs processes and standard work for robust MRDR for supplier material.
Ensure supplier interaction with facility packaging and transportation resources to optimize packaging, containerization, point of use presentation, barcode labelling, ASN compliance, enhanced communications related to quality improvements, and improving carrier selection and transportation container optimization.
Ensure that suppliers have adequate resources, including people, training materials, tooling, fixtures, and equipment, and provides technical support during start-up activities and on-going strategic support.
Provide leadership, coaching, focus, motivation and encouragement to direct reports. Responsible for coaching, developing and mentoring resources.
Significant Travel required (50% - 75% working time).
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 - 8 years’ SAP deployment experience in various Manufacturing Industries.
Supply chain, Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering or related job experience is highly desired.
Knowledge and understanding of 6 Sigma project management principles.
Solid SAP module expertise.
Data modelling in relation with supply chain process and Manufacturing Engineering.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
College or university degree, preferably in Supply Chain and/or Logistics Management or Industrial Engineering.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork and leadership skills.
Ability to conduct large meeting and training sessions on systems.
The ability to develop and deploy creative / original solutions to complex problems.
Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures, especially supplier-focused initiatives.
Solid logistics and manufacturing knowledge.
