Job Position: Senior Quality Engineer
Reporting to: Quality Manager
Job Status: Permanent
Job Description: The key functions of the position are; to organise and lead the quality team to achieve business objectives and quality standards, to develop, implement and maintain a company quality managements system and provide advice on site health, safety and environmental issues and to maintain effective communication on quality issues internally, with suppliers and with customers.
Qualifications:
You should be educated to at least HNC level in an appropriate discipline and have an Engineering background.
Additionally you should be conversant with ISO 9001:2008 requirements. Experience: A proven background of driving quality improvements and initiatives is required for customer, internal and within the supplier base. Experience in a quality related discipline and a proven quality background is essential.
Responsibilities: The role will form part of the Quality team but with defined responsibilities:
Contribute towards meeting planned quality targets and team objectives.
To take responsibility for your own processes and environment.
To Demonstrate strong commitment to Customers and Quality.
To Investigate quality concerns using the appropriate tools and techniques.
To maintain Command Centre Visual Management.
Work as an effective team member.
Lead 8D problem solving teams for rapid concern resolution.
Implement and maintain identified process Key Performance Indicators.
Analysis data and present findings to all levels of the business.
This role involves maintaining effective working relationships and communication with Customers, Suppliers as well as Group Leaders, Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Team Members, Logistics, etc.
Basic Hours: 39hrs / week
08:30 to 17:00 (16:00 on Fridays)
Salary/Rate: £32,000 - £38,000
Fringe Benefits: Pension Scheme, Health Scheme.
Relocation: Negotiable- generally covering all physical relocation costs.
