Purpose of the job
To provide Leadership in the definition of Quality Procedures within CSS, and be responsible for the issue of quality plans, welding and NDT procedures and control of material certification on aftermarket projects.

Main tasks and responsibilities
1. Responsible for developing & maintaining Product Quality Systems within CSS (Spares, Service, Retrofit)
2. Liaise with New Business Quality Dept to ensure Company wide Quality Procedures keep abreast of latest Industry requirements
3. Act as final authority on feasibility/acceptability of all CSS welding activity
4. Responsible for issue of quality plans/ITPs for CSS projects, identifying all quality activities within the manufacturing cycle
5. Provide input to the tendering process on quality requirements as required and attend client kick off meetings as necessary in order to understand project requirements
6. Develop/Maintain welding procedures and review 3rd party weld procedures as required.
7. Provide input and advice to Engineering and Service Centres on welding elements
8. Attend Design Review and Assembly Review meetings as and when required to provide input and advice on aspects of quality and welding
9. Liaise with Purchasing and Suppliers, as required, to ensure that sub-contractors are fully aware of SPUK Quality requirements (Welding, NDT, CE Marking, etc)
10. Responsible for the quality aspects and disposition of CSS NCRs and Concessions, when required, during manufacture
11. Audit supplier sites, as required, to ensure their procedures match SPUK requirements and provide advice as to suitability of supplier relationships
12. Attend pre-inspection meetings with clients as required
13. Responsible for defining the CSS process for review of certification of incoming goods to ensure relevant documentation is verified prior to release for manufacture
14. Responsible for issue of CE Compliance Certification at end of manufacture
15. Participate and actively support company initiatives
16. Familiar with the environmental aspects and impacts of the activities and processes involved in the role and the procedures, practices and measures to manage the impact.
17. Familiar with the risks and hazards within the activities and processes of the role and procedures, practices and measures in place to mitigate the risks.
