The Role
An experienced Electrical Design Engineer is required to work as part of an experienced engineering team, based in Blaby, in a permanent position. You will be responsible for the design and details of all electrical aspects pertaining to self-guided vehicles. Duties include the following:
-Design and detail of vehicle electrical schematics to meet customer requirements.
-Design and detail of vehicle electrical harnessing to meet customer requirements.
-Specification of all electric aspects of the vehicle, including selection of components and calculations to prove suitability.
-Detail of vehicle debug sheets, outlining necessary testing requirements.
-Detail of mechanical components as required thus assisting in mechanical release of components.
-This position influences the vehicle build and test schedule and contributes to the costing process.

This is a permanent position, working Monday to Friday on day shifts.

The Candidate
The successful candidate will have the following experience or skillset:
-Engineering based background, with a minimum qualification of HNC in electrical engineering.
-AutoCAD capability is essential.
-Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
-Knowledge of electrical schematics, electrical components, panel layouts is essential.

You must be flexible to work to additional hours during busy periods, including weekends and international travel is also involved for the Service aspect of the role.

The Package
This is a permanent vacancy with an initial salary of between £25k-£30k per annum (depending on experience).
