Lead Engineer- West Midlands
Amoria Bond are looking for a Lead Engineer initially on a 12 month contract basis.
Our client is a large automotive manufacturer based in the West Midlands.
The successful Lead Engineer will have a number of years of automotive experience at a large OEM or Tier 1 supplier, specialising in Interior Trim.
The successful Lead Engineer will have worked as a lead engineer before and will be expected to direct a team of up to 15 engineers working on the launch of a new cockpit and centre console design for a vehicle. They will have experience with man management and be able to demonstrate leadership and delegation.
One of the projects is in the launch phase and we are looking for a lead engineer who has a design and project background, whilst also experience with preparation and timing. The successful lead engineer must be commercially astute. This is a role for a Launch Engineer not a plant engineer.
Six sigma skills are also desirable.
The contracts are initially 12 months but are likely to be extended depending upon performance and workload. The agreed rate per hour is negotiable and dependant on level of experience.
