R & D ENGINEER (Acoustic Tomography)
Location: Ely, Cambridgeshire, UK
Position Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Negotiable according to level of skills and experience
Description:
• The R&D Engineer is a major contributor to the technical team in the delivery
of high-end flow metering instrumentation
• He/she will be responsible for the design, development and testing of new
products and for providing a creative contribution to the life of the product
lines
Responsibility & Leadership:
ENGINEERING responsibilities include:
• Participation in evolutions of current products, including physics, hardware
and software
• Manage the design and development of new products, including project
schedules, manpower requirements and field testing
• Secure compliance with current codes, regulations, safety standards and
client specifications
• Contribute in-depth understanding of background physics and return of
experience
• Contribute in technical documentation, training material and application
literature
Qualifications:
REQUIRED:
• In-depth understanding of background physics, with special emphasis on fluid
dynamics, acoustics, and their applications
• Skills to cover hardware, signal processing and computer software
development
• Functional experience with C language mandatory.
• Experience of either fluid dynamics/acoustics and/or hardware/software
requirements listed will be considered, although both would be ideal.
PREFERRED:
• Engineering Degree
• Working knowledge and experience with Industry codes: ASME, API MPMS,
ATEX
• Functional experience with Java language
• Functional experience with multi-physics simulation tools
