An experienced Materials Planning Manager/Supply Chain Manager with a strong logistics understanding is urgently required to join our Automotive Tier 1 client based in Coventry. Working for a growing and developing business you will be heavily involved in the planning & flow of materials, managing and setting up supplier agreements, sourcing materials and logistics management throughout the business.

You will be responsible for sourcing raw materials from around the world, negotiating prices and supplier agreements, managing the supplier contracts, and managing logistics within the plant to drive the business forward and ultimately reduce costs.

You will be required to have relevant hands-on experience within materials planning and/or supply chain management, ideally within the automotive industry, and possess experience in a manufacturing environment with an understanding of lean processes to include JIT and Kanban. Must have strong MRP skills from a manufacturing back ground. You will possess strong negotiation and interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a team in an ever changing environment.
