Project Quality Engineer

My client design, manufactures, fabricates and machine heavy and complex engineering components and assemblies and are recruiting for a Quality Engineer. Main sectors they operate include: Mining, Nuclear, Power Generation and Steel

I am seeking a Quality Engineer on an initial 6 month contract, based in South Yorkshire.

Ideally the Quality Engineer will have the following experience:
- HNC in Mechanical Engineering
- Be fully conversant with the sophisticated and demanding quality requirements of projects for Rolls Royce, Nuclear, Sub Sea and the MOD
- Experience in heavy mechanical engineering, including knowledge of fabrication, machining, fitting and assembly processes
- Full conversant in Microsoft Office 2003
- A clean driving licence is essential
- Have at least 7 years experience within Quality
- Internal Auditor for ISO 9001:2008

The job description for the Quality Engineer is as follows:
- Providing contract specific quality plans in accordance with the Customer's scope of work and purchase order requirements
- Reviewing, understanding and implanting customer specifications
- Liasing and working with other members of the quality section, the Welding Engineer and the appointed Project Manager
- Providing final approved quality records in accordance with the Customers and the contractually approved quality plan requirements

The Quality Engineer position is a 6 month contract with the possibility of a permanent position being appointed. The Quality Engineer role is based in North Yorkshire paying a competitive rate
