Job Description
The Engineering Superintendent is responsible for the planning and arranging of all technical maintenance and repairs needed on our vessel the MV Deepworker. They are expected to ensure full compliance with all class, flag state or any other standards and requirements that apply to their job, it is up to them to ensure that the vessel is complying with all the safety rules. They will need to plan all maintenance activities and liaise with all operational staff and sub contractors in regards to planning and implementation of all required tasks. It is the Technical Superintendents jobs to supervise work that needs to be carried out. All proper documentation will need to be maintained and reports filed ad required and draw up management information.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- close liaison with vessel's senior officers and Shore Based Staff
- monitoring or spares and vessels requisitions
- overseeing planned maintenance and repair schedules
- coordinates all inspections/surveys
- prepare specifications for dry-docking events and coordinate the project
- maintain ongoing knowledge of current conditions of assigned vessel
- keep upper management notified of repair, project and dry-dock budgets
- provides technical consultation to vessel
Desired Skills & Experience
Minimum qualifications:
1st Class Chief Engineer Certification
Experience as a Superintendent and/or Chief Engineer
Salary is negotiable, depending on suitability and experience.
