Web Developer

This company are looking for an experienced Web Developer to work for their Marketing Communications Agency based in Congleton. Their core strengths are strategic marketing, branding and creative design.

The role will be to provide additional support to the internal team with the build, development and maintenance of digital projects. You will need experience of video filing and editing and a solid understanding of front-end code optimization is a plus level. A minimum of 2 years working in an agency environment is also essential.

Role Responsibilities:

- Work with Account Managers to provide time estimates for client budgets
- Efficient communication with the Account Managers on the status of projects, highlighting any potential issues
- Work with internal design studio to ensure the website design can easily translate to a final programmed website
- Translating graphical designs from photoshop into functional, production ready prototypes (static HTML builds)
- Work with back end developers to ensure a smooth site build and functionality
- Maintain all corporate/client websites
- Build and implement effective HTML email marketing campaigns
- Identifying and addressing cross-browser issues during planning and development phases
- Stay abreast of the new front-end web development technologies; integrate them within the company's web sites to further enhance the useability and efficiency of the sites as necessary.
- Work within tight deadlines while exhibiting exemplary time management and task prioritisation
- Input into company blog/twitter feeds on current topics
- Responsible for google analytics and SEO on clients sites

Programmes:

- Efficiency with XHTML, CSS, JavaScript - in particular, jQuery and experience of php and .net
- Building standards-compliant code based on W3C guidelines
- Adobe CS3, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Flash and Illustrator
