Business Systems Support Analyst required for a 1 year contractr with a leading pharmaceutical company based in Middlesex.

The purpose of the Business Systems Support Analyst role is to provide high quality support for our end-to-end clinical trial systems. This position is situated in a business facing department and requires the successful Business Systems Support Analyst to:

Liaise with Business System Owner of bespoke system to ensure incident tickets are dealt with in a timely manner

Diagnose, fix and recommend long-term implementation changes to reduce recurring issues

Provide advice and support to users of the bespoke systems

Develop a working knowledge of systems that interface with the bespoke systems and collaborate with peers to resolve issues that cross a number of technical and process boundaries

Provide SQL/SAS programs to extract underlying data to help diagnose issues

Partner with colleagues, internal project teams, and other internal groups to periodically upgrade the version of the bespoke system (some coding may be required)

The right candidate will have extensive support experience with the Oracle InForm data collection software suite along with:

Experience in the application and support of clinical trial processes and technologies

Several years experience actively supporting clinical trial study teams

Thorough understanding and experience of validating systems according to ICH GCP / FDA CFR Part 11 guidelines

Proven track record of effectively communicating and influencing across business and IT boundaries

The successful Business Systems Support Analyst will also have:

Experience with Oracle (database programming / query skills)

Experience with UNIX

Experience with Microsoft programming (VB, VB.NET)

Experience with Web based technology (HTML , ASP, ASP.NET)

Software development experience in a regulated pharmaceutical environment

1st and/or 2nd level system support experience

Experience in SQL and SAS programming

Experience in pharmaceutical industry or health-related field

Solid knowledge of clinical development processes and procedures, including related functional areas and regulations as required

Ability to work on complex or multiple project assignments
