Salary £25,000
Location Central Manchester
The primary purpose is managing a team of up to 5 Paralegals to ensure that they handle claims proactively to settlement or prepare cases for litigation. Through effective management of the team, the Team Manager will ensure that the firm is not exposed to limitation risks and that all internal procedures relating to file handling are followed by team members at all times
The successful candidate will also have the following responsibilities
Collation of post and diary figures every Monday and Thursday
Assist the fee earners to vet new claims
General file handling
Work through pending cases lists and ensure the fee earners accept/reject promptly
Manage Daily/Weekly MI Reports
Manage referrals from team regarding medical reports, offers, cases to litigation etc
Checking post daily
Handling client concerns (if any)
Technical referrals from team members
Training of Team Members
Day to Day Team Management
Working with your team to meet targets and objectives
Monitoring team voicemail
Any other Ad Hoc Duties
The Successful candidate must also demonstrate the following skills:
Ability to work in a highly organised way and as part of a team
Ability to motivate and encourage members of the team
Technical ability to coach those junior members of the team
Experience of working towards targets
Personal Injury experience and Experience of the Low Value Pre Action Protocol
Confidence to performance manage colleagues and raise issues with the Senior Management team as required
Have knowledge of CFA and after the event insurance requirements
