Project Manager
Role
As a Project Manager at PERFORM you will be responsible for the management and delivery of cutting edge video/mobile media and technology projects through effective project, team and client management.
Your role will be to manage projects and resources to ensure that the highest quality solution is delivered on brief and on time which means:
•Contributing to the creative, technical and strategic direction of projects by working as key part of a highly skilled, multi-disciplinary team.
•Creating and maintaining project plans based on the agreed approach to meeting client needs and deadlines.
•Ensuring the delivery of the highest quality product, comprising of innovative products and applications without compromising project profitability.
•Ensuring that project stakeholders (internally and externally) are up to date with status and progress against the project plan and budget.
•Day-to-day management of cross-discipline teams to effectively deliver a projects objectives and products
Skills
•Demonstrate and ability to lead, manage a team and drive major projects.
•You will have direct liaison with internal and external clients of all levels so the ability to form strong relationships with people is vital.
•Excellent communication skills e.g. lead and facilitate project meetings, present to board-level clients and write clear and compelling proposals and specification documents.
•You’d have a strong passion for both technology and for the project management discipline, with a working knowledge of Agile and Prince2 practices
•Ideally between 1-3 years relevant project management work experience including combination of the following:
oExperience in developing Web applications.
oExperience with Internet technologies.
oProject lead, team leader or technical architect experience.
oExperience working for a lead Digital agency
oCertified ScrumMaster or PRINCE2® Foundation/Practitioner certification
Responsibilities
Managing the project process:
•Define and write project proposals and plans / schedules and agree final project budgets and timelines, ensuring all documentation is agreed.
•Closely monitor, manage and report on your project timelines, delivery milestones and ensure completion to plan and to deadlines.
•Facilitate identification of resource requirements and coordinate the chosen resources internally.
•Ensure that all 3rd parties are properly coordinated, understand what is required from them and stick to their deadlines and deliverables.
•You’ll need to pay excessive attention to detail throughout both the pipeline and the deliverables.
Responsibility:
•Make sure team members follow QA procedures (produce estimates, code review, unit test, UAT etc).
•Ensure that technical work is carried out in accordance with processes and frameworks necessary for the effective functioning of the Technology Department as a whole.
•Facilitate cross-department discussion and work prioritization
General:
•Help evolve the project management offering by introducing new ideas, fresh creative approaches to problem solving and maintaining a ‘big picture’ vision of the business and its processes.
