Position: Quality Systems Technologist
Location: London
Salary: £29,500

ROLE:
The Business Analyst / System Technologist will initiate quality improvements within the company using experience gained in the food industry to define best practice and therefore anticipate their customers’ requirements. The jobholder will be expected to work closely with senior personnel from a wide range of functions within the company and their customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) The Business Analyst / System Technologist will provide accurate technical information to their customers in a timely fashion.
b) Drive improvements throughout the Company to enhance our customer’s perception of T&L sugars.
c) Provide the technical link between the company and customers.
d) Visit customer’s sites to resolve quality issues relating to their products.
e) Be aware of issues and developments in the food industry so that the company can implement improvements before customers highlight deficiencies.
f) Manage customer audits and ensure corrective actions are acted upon in a timely fashion.
g) Pro-actively communicate initiatives and activities being undertaken within Operations to their industrial customers.
h) Support the PCP process for industrial & retail products.
i) Support SAP purchasing material ordering process.
j) Support maintenance of their 3rd party approvals & certifications.
k) Produce the weekly employee newsletter.
l) Maintain the QMS system

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) A degree in a food science or related subject, or chemical engineering.
b) Solid experience in a similar role.
c) Excellent knowledge of quality systems, and their implementation.
d) Extensive use of SAP systems.
e) Experience of customer interface, either as a supplier to industry or retailers.
f) Exposure to food industry or sugar industry best practice and the ability to communicate this to a wide audience.
g) Commitment to achieving the highest possible quality standards.
h) Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence people who may have conflicting priorities.
i) Proactive and motivated by change.
