The Appointment
Role Title: Pre Sales Consultant / Sales Engineer
Role Overview
The Pre Sales Consultant/ Sales Engineer will provide sales support to the Head of European Business Development with prospective customers for the sale and use of our clients products, technology and services.
Reporting Structure
The Pre Sales / Sales Engineer will report directly to the Head of European Business Development
Location
This role is ideally based in London/South East/M4 Corridor area.
Key Responsibilities
1. To maximise business opportunities for the Company through the provision of technical and business sales support
2. To liaise with prospective clients both in person and by telephone to deal with technical and business queries
3. To be able to develop business solutions through technology
4. To demonstrate product and technology solutions for a senior level audience including IT Directors and business functional specialists
Key Skills/Background/Attributes
1. A technical background in one or more of:
a. IP Networking
b. Infrastructure
c. Topology
2. Excellent presentation skills
3. Excellent communication skills – oral and written and the ability to influence and persuade in a business environment
4. Excellent customer facing skills and the ability to build relationships and trust
5. A consultative approach and ability to find business solutions through technology
6. Knowledge and background of the retail sector / retail process is highly desirable
7. The ability to respond to RFPs
8. The ability to put together proposals / bids
9. Target / goal orientated
10. Professional in attitude, conduct and appearance
11. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
