Biomedical Scientists Urgently Required

TLA currently have a FANTASTIC opportunity with a prestigious Private Healthcare Company, to recruit a new team of Biomedical Scientists (biochemistry / haematology specialist) for their Brand New state of the art clinic, based in the city of London, opening May 2012.
The service will operate 24 hours per day therefore we are looking for candidates who will be happy to participate in appropriate work rotas.

The ideal candidate must have:-
Experience
Practical analytical skills associated with Clinical Biochemistry in its routine service setting.
Minimum of 2 years post HPC registration working as a Biochemist.
Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
Previous experience in out of hours working including shift and on-call rotas.
Be able to work nights and weekends, as part of a team as well as independently.

Skills and Knowledge
An understanding of diagnostic pathology at an appropriate level.
Demonstrable bench skills with high degree of manual dexterity and good hand-eye co-ordination.
Competent in using pathology computer systems.
Precise and accurate work with good attention to detail.
Good organisational and communication skills.
Ability to cascade training to other appropriate grades of staff.
Competence in the performance of analytical techniques.
Competence in the assessment of QA data and in the application of QC results to routine setting.
