The Role
A new and fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Internal Sales team Leader to work out of my clients Reading office. Reporting to the Sales Manager the Team Leader is integral to improving service quality, driving commerciality, coaching and operational management responsibility for first level sales team.

Roles & Responsibilities
Sales and commercial management
Work with the Line Manager to create a dynamic, proactive and commercial Internal Sales team
Drive revenue and margin improvements
Support the Line Manager to drive efficiency improvements
Share and implement best practice
Ensure the team is dedicated to service excellence and customer satisfaction
Work with the Line Manager to develop vendor relationships to support growth of the transactional business
Produce reports in line with CU and Internal sales community requirements
Drive Change
Manage cross charges
Work with Account Managers to identify whitespace opportunities
People Management

Continually coach individuals to improve sales and commercial skills and overall performance
Be the first point of escalation for team queries
Manage absence including holiday and sickness
Work with the Line Manager to manage resources efficiently e.g. resourcing to average workload rather than peaks
Conduct first line interviews for Sales Support
Have responsibility for new starter induction
Identify and address the training and development needs for each team member

Key Requirements
Strong commercial awareness
Good people skills
Ability to coach individuals to improve sales, commercial and overall skills
Can cope with and drive change
Makes tough decision on people and resources that are right for the business
Has an excellent understanding of AS400 Sales Order Processing
Will be appropriately firm and demanding with account managers, solutions specialists and internal service providers
