Maintenance Technician

My Client, a large facilities company has a vacancy for a TES P&SE Mobile Multi Skilled Technician to join their clients site in Towcester.

Dimensions: To carry out planned preventative maintenance works and respond to reactive repairs to all items of production and scientific equipment in line with the contract documentation.

Purpose:

To provide a proactive service to the client

Principal Accountabilities:

*To carry out all planned preventative/reactive maintenance on all associated plant, machinery & equipment including but not limited to fault diagnosis, dismantling, reassembling, realigning, resetting.
*Operate and monitor all plant and equipment safely, and have an understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and pressure systems.
*To arrange for the procurement of all consumable materials and spare parts as may be required in order to maintain the equipment.
*Maintain up to date records of work carried out on the plant and equipment within the site manuals and complete site log books
*To maintain and update all technical information in hard & soft format relevant the equipment.
*To comply with the clients safety rules and to maintain a high standard of discipline
*Join the on call roster as and when required. The frequency of this rota may change with reasonable notice being given to the employee.
*To submit all relevant technical paperwork as detailed in the Engineers policies and procedures pack or requested by Supervisor.
*To comply with 'permit to work' systems and risk assessments and undertake as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

*Training and experience in a time served mechanical or electrical environment.
*M&E Competent Person training and awareness.
*Experience of Building Services plant maintenance
*Good diagnostic skills
*Computer literate
*Knowledge and experience of 'Permit to Work' systems (desirable)
*First Aid trained (desirable)
*Valid driving licence.
*Smart, presentable appearance
*Personable and approachable
*Flexible will work with other trades
*Good communication skills in both verbal and written formats
*Must be willing to undertake further training
*To provide callout cover in periods of arranged absence.
*MOD clearance will be required
