An exciting opportunity has arisen working for an NHS client based in South West London.

Purpose of Job

To work on one or more major capital development projects as required to advance the development of services. This will require the integration of strategies in the local health economy covered by the partnership. The developments may include either Private Public Partnerships or Developer driven schemes.

Projects may be at various stages of development and the project officer may be required to the develop the Strategic Outline Cases, Outline Business Cases through to Full Business Case, assist the management of the procurement route and negotiations with the private sector as directed by the Project Manager.

The role involves substantial negotiation activities and the Project Officer will be required to influence Trusts, Private sector Partners and change attitudes and behaviour.

Providing a single point of leadership for certain service or topic areas.
Managing relationships in a complex environment including NHS and Private Sector
Working across clinical groups and key corporate functions to help the (re) design of working practices.
Helping develop robust activity assumptions.
Advising lead managers develop affordable solutions consistent with best practice.
Ensuring an audit trail is available.
Utilising all resources available to the project (including consultancy support), within the scope of the project.
Assisting with selection and recruitment and working with external advisors.
Assisting in the management and delivery of internal and external communications plan for the project and to participate in open communications with stakeholders.
Provide information and make recommendations to the Project /relevant Trust boards.

It is essential that the successful candidate sis degree educated and has a minimum of four years practical experience of planning and implementing projects.
