Building Services Manager

Building Services Manager - South London - Permanent - £54,000 to £60,000

STR are representing a client who currently require an experienced, senior level Building Services Engineer (design) to manage an expanding team of mechanical, electrical and public health engineers on a diverse portfolio of capital project and maintenance programmes.

The successful candidate will ideally be a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE), and be able to demonstrate a proven track record of management from either a consultancy or local authority background. You will take the lead in reducing costs while raising standards as part of a new and dynamic team and oversee effective collaborative work with other teams in the company. You will take responsibility for delivering full feasibility, design and contract administration services within maintenance projects for the client's diverse property portfolio, and ensure projects/services are delivered to the appropriate design standards.

Substantial commercial experience with NEC and JCT contracts will be essential to the role, coupled with sound understanding of building engineering services design methodology, construction methods, materials and contracts management.

You must have relevant experience to apply for this position and be able to pass an enhanced CRB check. The client operates a standard 36 hour working week, Monday to Friday. You should also be eligible to live and work in the UK.
