Description

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor and working within a team of seven, the ideal candidate should have an awareness of current legislation at all times and be able to meet deadlines ensuring payments to employees are made in an accurate and timely manner.
* Process all aspects of payroll data on a monthly basis in line with both statutory and company requirements
* Perform comprehensive checks of all data during pay processing routines
* Handle and resolve pay queries to a successful conclusion
* Provide accurate & timely information for both month end and year end reporting purposes
* Provide support in the reconciliation and delivery of payments to both employees and third parties
* Liaise with relevant parties to ensure flow of information is constantly maintained throughout the pay cycle
* Develop communication channels with business areas and employees alike
* Work with the Payroll Supervisor to improve the efficiencies of payroll operations and work processes
Skills & Abilities
* Good all round payroll experience is essential with the ability to use computerised systems
* Understanding of PAYE and Inland Revenue legislation
* Maintain accuracy at all times with a keen eye for detail
* Ability to withhold confidential information
* Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines to achieve deadlines
* Provide strong customer skills to all customers
* A team player with initiative, self motivation and a strong work ethic
* Flexible and adaptable, with a can do attitude
* Experienced in Excel and Word
