Buyer - South UK - 6 month contract

One of the most diversified automotive supplier's in the world are looking to recruit a Buyer for their busy Procurement team.

As the Buyer, your responsibilities would include; Undertaking supplier selection to meet business and project requirements as requested, ensuring that selection criteria set is met within project specific time-scales, managing selected suppliers through key milestones up to launch readiness, actively participate in the continuous improvement process - supplier quality, cost, innovation, delivery and management and where relevant, support the business in obtaining the necessary costs required to construct customer quotations and tenders on very tight time scales.

Key Commodities include -
Gauge manufacture, Injection Mould Tooling manufacture (Global) and Paint Jig manufacture

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in; new Product Introduction environment, understanding of APQP, PPAP, cost tracking and quotation analysis, Proven track record in Purchase of Injection Mould Tools & Gauging or similar, Excellent Negotiator with high level of commercial awareness, ability to work independently or as part of a team and the successful candidate will need to be effective within days and be able to demanding time-scales.

This Role is likely to suit a Buyer, Procurement Officer, Procurement Specialist, Procurement Agent or a Procurement Analyst.
