Deputy Store Manager

DEPUTY MANAGER - PERMANENT - £18,000 - £25,000 per annum
THE ROLE
Assisting the Store Manager to drive sales and KPIs and lead and manage a team. You will be responsible for the day to day planning and execution of operations, ensuring the compliance within the store and superior customer service is delivered.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
•Retail management experience in a fast paced, volume environment is essential
•Provides great customer service at all times
•Strong communicator, able to provide clear messages, as well as having the ability to listen
•Leads by example in all aspects of the role
•Good attention to detail
•Proactive and able to use initiative with a "common sense" approach to solving problems
•Understands a P & L account and able to discuss opportunities and challenges with the Store Manager
•Loves being around people & able to motivate a team
•Thrives on being part of a winning team
•Works hard & encourages all colleagues to have a "can do" approach, with a desire to be the best
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Develops and leads an effective sales culture ensuring maximum customer satisfaction and the selling of appropriate attachments and KPIs
•Maximises the use of promotions as a tool to drive sales and KPIs
•Manages daily communications to the store team to include all sales, service and task expectations
•Manages team expert knowledge to drive special orders
•Drives team sales performance using incentive and bonus schemes
•Ensures daily and weekly targets are set and managed by store team on an individual colleague basis
•Understands trading accounts, stock loss & costs and manages then accordingly
•Manage poor performance, absence and misconduct and conduct good quality investigations into poor conduct
