LOGISTICS MANAGER – PERMANENT

£26,000 – £30,000 per annum

JOB ROLE

The Logistics Manager will report into the Group Sales & Marketing Manager and be responsible for the Systems Controller and Logistics Executive. They will be responsible for ensuring that customer sales orders can be fulfilled by ordering stock on a timely basis and arranging despatch scheduling. They will be expected to deliver a consistent level of high quality service to customers within a timely manner. The Logistics Manager will supervise the responding to and the resolution of customer queries.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Logistics and Customer Services Manager to manage the day to day logistics aspect of our London office and supervise a small team of logistics assistants. The candidate should have a proven track record of customer service, stock management and order dispatch. Good organisational skills are required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Stock ordering from Suppliers ahead of marketing campaigns and to maintain buffer stock
• Arrange timely collection of stock from Suppliers
• Stock management ensuring accurate stock records are maintained
• Order processing of customer orders
• Follow up of customer dispatch queries
• Liaising with couriers for customer deliveries
• Keeping the Sales team informed of any stock considerations
• Ensuring effective administration support to sales team to support customer service delivery in line with Company Standards
• Driving customer service standards to achieve sales and ensure customer satisfaction targets are exceeded
• Communicating and managing corporate policies, legal requirements, procedures and instructions so changes are managed effectively
• Assisting with staff selection, retention, training and performance issues ensuring a skilled and motivated workforce is able to deliver
• Identifying people potential, managing and driving staff development and supporting staff and managers to achieve their potential
• Creating a safe and secure working environment ensuring compliance with company and legislative standards
• Managing the stock ordering and receiving and administrative functions in order to meet stock holding and availability targets
• Proactively manage out of stock processes and fully investigate all out of stocks to satisfactory conclusion
• Action all stock moves in an accurate and timely manner
• Release stock deliveries within agreed timescale to support retail operations
