Care Assistant

Our client is looking to recruit experienced Care Assistants to assist service users with their general health and personal care needs; assistance with medication; assistance within the community / attending hospital appointments etc, when required; promoting independence and ensuring that each service user receives a high level of care.

The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in any of the following specialist areas:

* Elderly Adults and Older People
* Learning Disabilities
* Physical Disabilities
* Mental Health

Relevant candidates for the post must have a minimum of 12 months experience working within any of the above settings, and have up-to-date training within one of the following areas:

- Moving and Handling / Manual Handling
- Medication Competency
- First Aid
- Infection Control
- Health & Safety

This current requirement is for ad hoc shift cover, shifts and hours available will vary and are dependent on client requirement.

You will:

* Have a relevant qualification in Health or Social Care
* Hold a valid CRB (Conducted in the last 9 months)
* Have excellent report writing skills.
* Have access to a vehicle (preferably)
* Have very good problem solving skills.
* Have excellent communication skills.
* Be flexible with hours.
