R&D Tax Manager
Location: Dublin

The focus of our clients tax practice is primarily on large indigenous public and private companies, in addition to international companies doing business in Ireland. They advise clients in the communication, healthcare, energy and construction sectors and our industry focus also extends to pharma, software and technology, and most inward investment to Ireland. Within the tax practice we have a dedicated, full time R&D Incentives Group. The R&D tax credit scheme is designed to incentivise companies based in Ireland to develop or enhance new products or processes
Role: R&D Tax Manager Key responsibilities include:
Working in a cross functional team environment to complete R&D tax credit claims for small, medium and large companies with responsibility for managing a significant portfolio of R&D compliance and advisory clients
Assisting R&D Tax team in providing R&D tax advice to clients on a wide range of advisory projects, including attendance at meetings, liaising with clients technical leads, and review of documents
Researching and resolving tax technical R&D related queries from clients
Liaising with Revenue - particularly with R&D tax audits
Managing the gathering of technical information by our technologists from our clients R&D Engineers/Development team
Drafting technical reports detailing qualifying R&D projects.
Planning, organising and executing R&D engagements on time and within budget.
Developing an understanding of scientific/engineering technical requirements of the Irish R&D tax incentive regime.
Successfully developing and managing client relationships

Our client will provide the successful candidate with specialised training on the R&D tax credit scheme.

Requirements
Candidates must have the following skills/ experience/ qualifications to be considered for this position:
Qualified accountant (Chartered Accountant or equivalent) and member of the Irish Taxation Institute or equivalent
Strong technical knowledge of tax, particularly R&D related tax relief
Minimum of four and a half years in a professional tax environment, including some time at manager grade or equivalent.
Full clean drivers license
Excellent team leading, interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent drive, enthusiasm and commitment.
