Description

Large National Recruitment Agency based in Surrey are looking for a 2 Payroll Managers to manage and provide an efficient bureau service to their clients.

Main Tasks

Data entry, manual input and use of import.
Running payrolls, ensuring that clients are paid accurately and on time, while adhering to standard procedures.
Production of payslips and reports. Dispatching these to each client according to their individual requirements.
Sending BACS Payments.
Year end processing.
Dealing with IR.
Setting up procedures for individual clients according to individual needs, while at the same time using QA procedures.
The speedy, efficient and professional resolution of client queries, thus building and maintaining good relationships with clients.
To achieve a level of 75% customer satisfaction in the Annual Customer Survey.
To perform client visits as and when required.
Keeping up to date with upgrades and developments in the Payrite product.
Keeping up to date with developments in legislation changes as they affect Payrite and the Payroll Services clients.
To fulfil objectives as set out in the annual appraisal.

Role Definition

The Payroll Administrator's main function is to process clients' payrolls in an efficient and effective manner, thus ensuring high client retention rates and achieving high customer satisfaction in accordance with their personal objectives.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential - Five C grade GCSE passes, including Maths. IPP Diploma, or willingness to study for the qualification.

Work-based competencies

Essential - an excellent telephone manner. At least 2 years' payroll experience. Familiarity with a computerised payroll system. Computer literacy.

Desirable - experience of Payrite software, although training will be given.

Behavioural competencies

Understanding of the importance of customer-focus and service.
Good team working skills.
The ability to deal sympathetically and calmly with clients' queries and cope well with stressful situations.
Patience, tact and a good sense of humour.
