Management Accountant

Management Accountant opportunity in Derby required to cover maternity leave.

The Management Accountant will provide cover for a member of the Finance Business Support Centre within the Submarines business.

The Finance function is currently undergoing a transition to the Finance Service Delivery Model, of which the Business Support Centre plays a key part. The role will include the analysis of financial information and provision of support to the business each accounting period and forecasting period.

The Management Accountant is also likely to provide specific support to the financial management of contracts held by a specific business unit within Submarines. As part of the transition to the FSDM, the individual will also be involved in process improvement and process standardisation work.

Successful applicants will have the following skills/experience:
A Qualified Accountant (full or part qualified)
Working knowledge of SAP
Good interpersonal skills and able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to learn quickly on the job
