Our client is a statistical research consultancy that has devised models for predicting sporting outcomes accurately. They have a leading reputation for the fair and realistic statistical forecasting of sports results.

Due to their ongoing expansion, they have several exciting opportunities for highly motivated individuals to join their research team as Statistical Modellers. Working within new and established multi-skilled teams, you will develop novel statistical models, incorporating real time information, to enhance understanding of the complex relationships inherent in competitive sports.

Applicants must have a good degree in a mathematical or statistical discipline and will ideally hold a postgraduate qualification in statistics. You should have experience of programming and have the ability to learn and apply new statistical and computational techniques. Interested in sports, you will have an understanding of probability in relation to sporting outcomes and you will be a strong team player who understands the importance of recognising team members’ strengths and playing to them.

Their state of the art office complex in Exeter Business Park is within easy access of the lively city centre and just minutes from the National Parks and surfing beaches of Devon. Successful candidates will be offered a salary of £26,000 - £35,000 along with an excellent benefits package that includes free membership of their on-site gym, free lunches at their on-site restaurant and the full use of their recreational room, containing arcade and computer games, and on-site five-a-side football pitch.
