A Leading company in the UK offers a rare opportunity to join their team in a position to protect the company from losses by use of risk management, Loss Funding, Risk Transfer and Loss Control disciplines as well as the recovery of uninsured losses.

The main responsibilities will be:
Operational provision of technical and advisory service to internal and external customers in connection with risk management and loss control issues.
Address losses & claim of all types to minimise cost to business
Provision of technical support and advise to the Business Protection Manager to enable execution of correct business strategy & operational decisions
Recovery of designated commercial uninsured losses
The work will require contact with :inter alia, senior management, barristers, solicitors, surveyors,engineers, loss adjusters and insurers

Claims handling up to aggregate of £6.5m
Personal investigation of 300 new claims losses annually
Total loss potential (incl insured element of £100m+

The successful candidate will have an excellent knowledge of technical insurance & contractual issues
Familiarity with technical manufacturing and distribution processes
Positive approach to problem solving
Good IT analytical and organisational skills
Sound communication, influencing and training skills
Self motivation

Required Qualification/experience
Professional qualification on insurance (ACII or related) and a minimum of 7 years practical experience in a relevant insurance position or longer without qualification.
