Job Status: Contract
Summary: Responsible for assisting and gaining experience in design, development and maintenance of new and existing products and components.
Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
Masters degree (or equivalent) in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum - preferred.
To design and develop complex product and component concepts for release to production in a manner to ensure superior performance, durability, reliability, quality, and serviceability to the worldwide marketplace.
Helps maintain top level configurations.
The Designer/Modeller is a member of a design and development team that conceives and provides practical and improved product design applications.
Emphasis of this position is on conceiving complex product designs and preparing design models.
Supports engineers and technologists in defining configuration and helps resolve design issues.
Possesses initiative to resolve design issues with minimal supervision.
The Designer/Modeller conceives complex product design concepts and prepares design models using a computer graphics system.
Makes calculations, design decisions, and necessary analysis and computer simulations.
Works closely with engineers, technologists, technicians, manufacturing personnel, and suppliers regarding product design, test, and production schedule dates.
Provides technical guidance to Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Marketing, Sales, Service, and other departments.

Prepare engineering drawings.
Complete engineering design calculations, analysis, and computer simulation.
